Dallas Price – Graphic Artist Portfolio 03-13-2014

March marks 2 years working as a Graphic Artist for The Richfield Reaper. I have an overflowing folder of portfolio items and every week they’re getting more and more difficult to manage.

So, I had this great idea to take all of my portfolio items and start putting them here. That way it won’t be cluttering up my desk (and sadly the floor surrounding my desk with issues of The Richfield Reaper). Also, it’ll help publicize my work a little bit while making it easier to manage and giving me time to reflect on each advertisement, page, or other piece. I’ll be trying to catch up so expect an update every day or so. I’ll be posting advertisements and things that I’m proud of, and some that I’m not so proud of and probably writing a little bit about each for the ones that I remember or have any bias on.

Back from the dead! Well, no not quite dead. These ads are just almost 2 years old.

Radioshack actually worked pretty well, a little corny and what not … But, this ad came about around the time I started realizing how the pen tool worked nearly the same way in InDesign as it does in Illustrator. Which could bring a revolution to squiggly marks n shit! lol. It did, IFA was one of those ads where I started realizing (probably didn’t even come close to realizing it. We’ll see in many ads to come) that, even though something looks really awesome in color … It’s just not going to show up as well in black and white. Especially on the mud that we call paper.
