To everyone that was affected, (and to the people that have to answer phones at The Richfield Reaper) I sincerely apologize.

The title says it all … I totally messed up. While I could blame the myriad of problems we’re having at The Richfield Reaper saving in multiple places constantly to try and ensure we don’t end up losing a days work, this one is mine to take the blame for. This years high school graduation pages were set to be built using a design I created last year. A relatively simple design but elegant with it’s use of Rose Round, Times New Roman, and smooth metallic gradients.

While everyone was experiencing a hectic Monday (are Monday and hectic synonymous?) some idiot graphic designer (me) was messing up this years RHS graduation page royally. When I first sent it to be proofread we realized the names were wrong, they were last years names. Then we noticed the sponsors were last years sponsors also. But, the issue we overlooked was that the picture was also last years …

Usually designs that are repeated like this one are pretty simple; Open up the previous design, unlock all, copy, paste, delete previous stuff and place new stuff. I must have had last years folder open while replacing the information, I’m not sure.

So today I present to you the correct graduation page. Again, I apologize.

Being a graphic designer is very rewarding, seeing my work published, helping people grow their business, and CREATING but, last weeks reaper featured a creation whose beauty is only to be rivaled by a tiny handful of people. I had nothing to do with this photo, actually I didn’t even notice until my friend/coworker said “That sure is a pretty little girl on the front”. In fact the photographer almost overlooked the fact that he’d seen this little girl numerous times wandering around the office and that she might belong to one of us. So for no reason at all I present you with a photo of my Layla Ann.
